My First Yoni Mapping Session

My First Yoni Mapping Session

One of our Comfortable In My Skin sisters shares her experience with yoni massage, facilitated by Holistic Sex Coach Rachael White.

I’ve done a fair bit of work on myself over the past year. The kind of work that uncovers things you didn’t realise you’d buried. One of those things was a sexual block. It wasn’t something I could put my finger on exactly, but I knew I was disconnected. Not from my partner, but from myself. From my own body and desire.

It was Ellie who suggested I see Rachael White, a Holistic Sex Coach, Tao Tantric Arts Facilitator and Therapeutic Yoni Mapping Practitioner. I trusted her instinct, and I’m so glad I did.

I had no expectations going in. I honestly didn’t know what a yoni mapping session would involve. But from the moment I stepped into Rachael’s beautiful sanctuary, I felt completely at ease. There was no awkwardness or judgement. Just warmth and grounded presence.

Rachael held space in a way that felt deeply safe and respectful. She walked me through the process gently, explaining everything in advance and reinforcing the importance of consent at every stage. That alone was healing.

We started with a full body massage, designed to help me drop into my body and calm my nervous system. It worked. I found myself breathing deeper, softening, letting go of tension I hadn’t realised I was carrying.

Then came the yoni massage. I’ll be honest, I expected it to feel confronting, maybe even awkward. But it wasn’t. It was surprisingly relaxing and enjoyable. I didn’t have any pain or trauma to work through, so for me, it was a nourishing experience of presence and connection. That said, I want to acknowledge that everyone’s experience is different. For some, this work can bring up emotional release or stored pain, and that’s valid too.

For me, it was a moment of complete surrender. It wasn’t wildly emotional or overwhelming. Just deeply restorative. Like I’d given my body permission to be felt, without shame or agenda.

If you’re curious, I’d say follow that curiosity. You don’t need a reason or a problem to book a session. You just need a willingness to meet yourself more fully.

And in Rachael’s hands, that journey felt sacred, safe and beautifully human. Connect with her here.
